The purpose of the ABC program — championed by the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County and BNSF Railway — is to create a forum for minority- and women-owned businesses to connect with buyers and procurement opportunities from public entities, corporations, prime contractors and developers.
The ABC Program provides technical assistance, training and introductions to these contract opportunities:
City of Fort Worth • $76.8 million awarded in City of Fort Worth contracts FY 2009 to M/WBEs • $500,000 annually in service and supplier opportunities with tax abated companies • City of Fort Worth procurement opportunities • Opportunities from other partner agencies
BNSF Railway • Over $350 million annually with women and minority owned firms
Tarrant County • Over $13 million annually with historically underutilized businesses
