The Fort Worth Business Assistance Center (BAC) is comprised of 12 service providers, each offering an array of business resources for those who want to start a business or grow their existing business. Entrepreneurs can find a wealth of information in the form of workshops & training, small business counseling, and special events.
Areas of assistance include finance, manufacturing, market research, small business operations, M/WBE (minority and women owned businesses) certification orientation, writing a business plan, computer technologies, procurement assistance, and access to capitol.

The ACORN Project (Able and Confident Owners Rebuilding Neighborhoods) is a free business course training individuals in self-empowerment, building confidence and exploring their dreams. ACORN is sponsored in part by State Farm Insurance, Chase and Washington Mutual. The spring 2008 class (shown here) graduated in late April. Since its inception in 2002, ACORN has graduated more than 300 students, and the class is currently taught in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. The summer session begins June 2.
